Seraphina's Wand

VALENTINES FUNDRAISER

    14th Feb please click here

Seraphina's Wand is a new Social Enterprise Organisation, based in Brighton and founded by mural artist Geniene Burchett. The aim of our voluntary team is to bring hope and colour into the lives of disadvantaged children using the healing powers of art and creativity.
Together with the children themselves, we design and paint murals on the walls of hospices, hospitals and homes for children with physical and/or learning disabilities and terminal illnesses.

We also offer private mural commissions, giving people the opportunity to have a beautiful and unique peice of artwork within thier home, whilst knowing that they are helping to support vulnerable and disavantaged children with society: proceeds from this, along with our other fundraising activities allows us to cover the expenses for low income families with ill or disabled children at home.
The work of Seraphina's Wand is supported by our dedicated group
of volunteers. In addition to our work in the UK we aim to generate enough funds to take our skills abroad.

Proceeds are Supporting www.survival-international.org

Quote~ Richard from young carers: Oct 2007

"Geniene has always presented as an enthusiastic and committed worker, She has built up good relationships with young carers and their families and is very much a trusted member of the team.

In both projects, Geniene has worked with children in a fun,

friendly and supportive way.

Project Co-ordinator Hikkaduwa Certified School 19 July 2006

This is to confirm that in July 2006 Geniene Burchett painted three beautiful murals in the newly refurbished recreation room at Hikkaduwa Certified School, a care home and orphanage for boys aged 6-18, in Sri Lanka.

Besides being a very talented artist, Gen proved to be dedicated, self disciplined and extremely hardworking.  She quickly built up a rapport with the boys at the school and her enthusiasm was infectious.

Gen’s outgoing personality coupled with her sense of responsibility and caring nature make her an ideal candidate to work on any charitable project in the UK or overseas.

Projects to come!
I would like to give you the opportunity to join me and be part of making a huge difference to so many terminally ill children's lives.

At the present moment Seraphina Arts is working along side

The chestnut tree house.

There are many rooms at The Chestnut Tree Hospice waiting to be painted.... these rooms are used for children with life limiting sicknesses.
would you like to donate some money towards the materials and time spent on these murals.

Or
Have a mural painted in your child's room a percentage of that money will pay for another mural.
I hope that you will support us in my organisation and pass this site onto your friends and family to spread the word!

The Chestnut Tree House is a Hospice for children who are terminally ill.

They have 13 rooms they wish for me to decorate: (6 for age 0-11 age, 4 for age12-18, the play area, teen recreation area, and a huge chestnut tree in the welcome area.)  Also, I have families who would love to have their terminally ill child's bedroom decorated with colourful feel- good designs.

would you like to n be an ongoing sponsor, a one off donation towards a mural, or some paints or voucher from your shop, we all would be very grateful. If not, maybe you may know someone or another business who would?  It would be fantastic if you would please inform them and spread the word.

In return, apart from having the satisfaction of helping to benefit greatly to a child's life, filling their world with colourful love and sparkles, I would happily advertise your business on my web site and also have your company and or name thanking you for your support, next to any mural you have funded.

Helping us to brighten the lives of disadvantaged and

termnally ill children worldwide

Thank you for your time and care
